Biography

“Listen to when you’re drunk and alone, contemplating calling your exes to ask them why they stopped loving you.” - Performer Magazine

Katie’s self-released 2004 debut EP, Terrible, Terrible, won the singer-songwriter loving reviews from indie press likening her to Alanis Morissette and The Postal Service. In 2005 and 2006, a packed schedule of live shows took Katie from her start in the dive bars of Seattle's Pioneer Square to her first marquee at the Showbox, one of the northwest's biggest theaters.

In 2007, Katie set off solo on travels across the Mediterranean and the US. 2009 found Katie back in her Seattle hometown, returning to the stage with new songs about cherry blossoms and mermaids.

Recorded in late spring 2010 at a boutique recording studio in the hills of Los Angeles, Three Songs brings a new lightness to Katie’s signature sad songs. The EP is available as an exclusively digital release on iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon, and other online retailers.

“I have predicted to my listeners that Katie Davis may be one of those indie artists who break through to the mainstream, she's that good.” - DJ Jerry Jodice at Virginia’s WRIR FM 97.3
